NEIGHBORHOOD IMPACT PROGRAM (NIP)
THIS IS A FORGIVABLE GRANT OF UP TO $7,500 FOR HOMEOWNERS IN NEED OF CRITICAL HOME REPAIRS. (see flyer below)
YOU MUST MEET THE CURRENT INCOME LIMITS AND OWN YOUR OWN HOME FOR UP TO 6 MONTHS. THE NIP GRANT WILL HAVE TO BE REPAID IF THE HOME IS SOLD WITHIN 5 YEARS AFTER AWARDED FUNDING.
Last year (2022), we were able assist 30 homeowners totaling $225,000 in critical home repairs! Special thanks to our Executive Director, Marianne for making this happen!!!

The Neighborhood Impact Program (NIP)
The Neighborhood Impact Program (NIP) is a grant to assist qualified homeowners with deferred maintenance repairs.
Funds can only be accessed by participating FHLBank Indianapolis member financial institutions.
Accessibility Modification Program (AMP)
The Accessibility Modifications Program (AMP) is a grant to assist qualified homeowners with repairs and modifications to make the home more accessible for the homeowner.
Funds can only be accessed by participating FHLBank Indianapolis member financial institutions.
YOU MUST CALL OUR OFFICE TO INQUIRE AND APPLY. THIS PROGRAM ONLY HAPPENS ONCE EACH YEAR AND HAS LIMITED FUNDING.

Applications can be filled out and emailed or you can print out and mail in to our office.
Homeowner Building
Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses alongside our homeowner partner families. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest 500 hours of their own labor (sweat equity) into building their Habitat house and the houses of others. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to continue building more homes.

Handicap Ramp Build
Due to lack of Wheelchair ramps, over two million people with mobility issues are physically unable to leave their houses and have become imprisoned. Our mission is to help transform lives-from the lives of people in need that we serve. If you are in need of a ramp, please complete the application form and return it to the office, either via email or postal mail.

Critical Home Repair
Our CHR program helps low-income homeowners who are affected by age, disability or family circumstances and who struggle to maintain the integrity of their homes. Critical Home Repair is designed to pursue our strategic goal of helping to transform and strengthen communities so that those who reside in them will be able to live and grow into all that God intends for them.
